worst boss: i thought the one who fired me when i wasn’t interested in her son was bad! BUT Mrs. P was the wicked witches mother. She used kids as weapons to harm teachers. In my case she had reason to be mad. I’d reported to the Board that though my partner had done excellent work, he received unsatisfactory and was fired. Dumb I admit. After 30 yrs ++ Evaluations only, boom Unsatisfactory meaning I would need a special training helper to come to the school and show how to do my job.Of course she knew i was retiring in one year. She mixed tactics of calling me down to her office in a scary voice to hurtling damaging memos quoting broken District codes I’d broken. When I was out from severe illness she wrote me up on turning my grades in 2 days late (you should have done it while you were out). She created the class from hell with all the most seriously troubled at-risk kids back together in a class of 37 which she refused to change out. Easy. Just sit back and watch the action and never do anything about it.
My laptop was stolen and sold on the street for $50. No investigation on who buys the stuff from the kids. one girl was going to get an F unless she did a project. she chose to ask the counselor for a transfer. the principal found out and cornered her the office to give her a list of complaints like “she called my mom too much” “she told us about her feelings” “she didn’t write grades down” and other lies/half truths. These became “serious charges”. I asked for an outside evaluator; she got her closest associate and assigned the worst class assignment. She screamed at kids in a vicious nasty way. Like one rainy day a boy came in soaking wet from the rain with his hood on. the instant he walked in, “Get that hood off!” no hood off, boy keeps walking! “DID YOU HEAR WHAT I SAY? GET THAT HOOD OFF!” boy stands frozen 80 people turn to watch! still no hood off. “GET THAT HOOD OF RIGHT NOW….!” boy hangs his head in shame and walks to his locker. “Good morning!” NOT!
