When I Grow Up To Be CEO…. Another Winner
Hi folks. We have our third book winner. Martin from Edmonton, Canada writes:
“When I’m CEO (!) I would absoutely change how our corporation looks at management. Because of the way our business runs, we have producers who generate most of the revenue, support who help them produce the revenue- and then middle managers, who are looked at from above and below as a necessary evil and non-productive.
I would like to have our company celebrate their managers- and encourage others to be managers- rather than make them a bane to the profit margin.”
Of course, this problem is exactly why in the interview, Jeffrey Fox says if you want to be CEO, take a line job, because if you’re not seen as vital, it’s tough to be taken seriously. Hang in there, bother.
We’re looking for more- the next two entrants will receive signed copies of “How To Become CEO”, by Jeffrey Fox and immortalization on these pages.
