And Our Final Wannabe CEOs….

Okay, so we had a flurry of last-minute  entrants. Too many in fact, so here’s what we’re gonna do. Two of our finalists will receive “How To Become CEO”. The rest will receive a copy of my e-book, Meet Like You Mean It- The Cranky Middle Manager’s Guide to Painless and Productive Meetings.

Jeffrey Fox’s book goes to the fleet fingered:

Beth Price of Indianapolis, IN, for her response:

I would think about my decisions and how it would affect all departments of the company, try not to make rash decisions just because I can”.

Katy Whitton of Tingewick, England ( and a kick-butt business blog) told us,

“When I’m CEO I’ll make sure I am visible to the employees; send out
regular updates on how we, as a company, are getting on and make sure that
I’ve tried all the jobs in the company so that my employees know that I
know what I’m talking about!”
The winners (?) of the e-book are:
Timothy Smith of Indianapolis, IN  (and what’s going on in Indianapolis that they’re all clamoring to be the boss?)
”The one thing I would do is make the various departments more transparent to the rest of the organization.  Many times people from one department don’t know what the other departments are doing.  This would help people get a better grasp of the overall direction of the company”.
Finally, Phil Gerbyshak- whose blog I really like and I never knew he was a listener- said
“I would focus on the front line managers and find new ways to grow and engage them. I would focus my equipping time on those frontline managers, especially those with teams that are immediately client facing and don’t get enough credit or respect for their outstanding customer service.”

Thanks to everyone for your input….. Didn’t I tell you to keep checking the blog pages? More contests to come gang!
