		<description>Interesting point about personal branding--but even more so than "brand yourself before someone else brands you" is the concept of actually BEING what you say you are.  As a friend of mine often says, "you can jab a stick in a turd, but that don't make it a corndog."  If you brand yourself as honest, dependable, transparent and forthcoming, it won't stick if you are really dishonest, undependable, dim and closed.  

Often there is a huge gap between who a person THINKS they are, and who they actually are.  Make sure that's not the case for you!
