Look, I will confess even though I try to be evenhanded on the show, I’m obsessed with the US election. I am stuck on the websites and news channels like come kind of soundbite crack junkie. My latest Management Issues article says with the world going crazy around us, managers should try and focus on the things we can actually impact… things like the Workplace Diaspora and Breakroom Breakdowns.

By the way, I was in Journalism school when CNN first went on the air and I thought it would be the savior of the planet. After all, the knock on TV news was that there wasn’t time or money to do real reporting. Now that there was a full 24 hours to fill, how could it NOT be a boon to mankind?
Safe to say I’ve changed my mind. Here’s how bad it’s gotten- you know those arguments about “would you have stopped hitler if you’d known what was going to happen? Would you have “taken him out?”. That’s what I feel about Ted Turner. If I only could have taken him out before he unleashed this on us………
Yeah, it’s been that kind of week.
